History Of Annapurna Temple
Annapurna temple was built in the 9th century with a mixture of Indo-Aryan and Dravidian style of the architecture. 57 year ago, Swamy Prabhanandan comes from Jaipur with a 3-foot height marble statue of Goddess Annapurna and founded on 21 February 1959 in a 2 acre of premises.

The trust runs Annapurna Vidhyalaya, Annapurna Vedang Vidhyalaya to provide religious education to children. And the trust is raised for the education of poor children up to the 12th standard.
About the Maa Annapurna
According to the Hindus Mythology Goddess “Annapurna” is considered as a God of food. The Goddess Annapurna is the incarnation of Goddess “Parvati”. There is a belief in the mythological texts that Lord Shiva, distracted by the terrible situation created due to lack of food in the religious city of “Kashi”, received a boon from Annapurna Devi. On this, Maa Annapurna blessed those who came to her shelter to never be deprived of money.

It is always good to know that when you have to visit the visiting places. The Annapurna temple opens all the days of the week and the timing is morning 5:00 AM to 12:00 PM And 2:00 PM TO 10:00 PM.
A unique way of worship during the “Navratri”
During “Navratri”, Devi Annapurna Aarti performs by the different scholars(or pandits) every time. Whoever enters in the “Sanctum” (garbhagrah), is required to wear “dhoti” only to perform Aarti.
No one can enter in the “Sanctum” without taking permission of Mahamandol.
Before the Aarti of Goddess of Annapurna, perform the Aarti of Lord “Shiv”. Mahaaarti is done on the “Ashtami” (Eight day of Navratri).
The Monolithic Text being held in the temple for 52 years
Pandit Kalyanadatta Shastri 104 tributes are being organized, in the month of Chaitra and Shardiya Navratri has been recited for 52 years in unbroken Shatchandi, in which 11 Pandits are reciting 7 days and on the last 2 days, Havan is done to bless the Maa.
