Nowadays “Pitraparvat” is another famous tourist spot for the tourist in the Indore city. The world’s largest octal-metal(अष्टधातु) statue of the Lord Hanuman has been reputation on the Pitra Parvat of Indore. The height of the statue is about 72 feet. Pitraparvat was established by the BJP National General Secretary “Kailash Vijayvargiya”.
BJP National General Secretary “Kailash Vijayvargiya” pledged 18 years ago that they would not eat grain until the idol of Hanuman was installed on the Pitra Parvat.
From last 18 years “Kailash Vijayvargiya” was consuming the rajgira’s flour chapati and bread and fruits. After the installed of the idol of the Lord “Hanuman” he took the food and grain.
The Indore Municipal Corporation and tourism department have taken initiative to develop it as a tourist destination.
Architecture of Pitraparvat Statue
Pitraparvat is a world’s largest octal-metal(अष्टधातु) statue of the Lord Hanuman(sited Hanuman). The height of the statue is about 72 feet and 72 feet wide and the weight of the idol is 90 tons. Its cost is about 10 crores. Hanumanji’s mace(गदा) weighs 21 tonnes and is 45 feet in length. The laser light on the idol is sourced from Germany, which after darkness envelops the aura with the text of Hanuman Chalisa.
This statue has a special type of polish that will protect it from the weather. 125 artisans worked 10 to 12 hours a day to produce it in six years. The different- different parts are brought to Indore by six trolls.
Why called “Pitra Parvat”
In memory of ancestors, Dev Dharam tekri is known as Pitra Parvat. The process of planting trees on this mountain started 12 years ago in memory of loved ones.
Today, with the flow of millions of trees and plants, the memories of loved ones are refreshed. Whenever people miss their loved ones, they reach Pitra Parvat.
The Mayor Kailash Vijayvargiya pledged to save the trees planted on Pitra Parvat through the Municipal Corporation. Every year in rainy and after rainy seasons plants are planted here. A large number of plants are planted on the Sarv Pitra Amavasya(date of Hindu culture).

Pitra Parvat is opened all the day of the week. You can visit here at any time. It has no entry fees. You must have to visit here in the evening because nature is so beautiful at that time.
How to reach Pitra Parvat
It is good to known how you can visit the place and how. Here you can visit your personal vehicles and also public vehicles. Here a good arrangement of the parking.
It is located on Hatod gram on Kushalgarh-Jhalod road. Set at a distance of 12.3 km from Free Press office, you can comfortably reach the hillock within half-an-hour. There are three routes to the hillock, depending on your location. People prefer Super Corridor route. If you are closer to Free Press office, then you should opt for Aerodrome route, as it is shorter by nine km.
Besides Pritra Parvat, there is a water purification plant, you can visit this water plant and learn the procedure of water purification.
Preparation before Visit Pritra Parvat
You have to carry home-cooked packaged food, as there are no restaurants or outlets.
Pitra Parvat is a very beautiful place. Here the view is photogenic. Photographers should carry their cameras as there are various opportunities for clicking pictures.
