This market originated as the central jewellery market in the city of Indore. This market is located at a distance of 2 km from Rajwada, the central market of Indore,

Sarafa market was the central trading point for artefacts and ornaments. Due to its location and a large number of commuters and tourists in Indore, street food vendors started putting stalls and selling fast-food, snacks and chaat.

This Sarafa Bazaar consists of two sub-markets, Bada Sarafa Bazaar and Chhota Sarafa Bazaar. Sarafa Bazaar is mainly popular for its cuisine and night lifestyle. After the jewellery market closes, Sarafa Street Food Market opens at 8 PM.

This is a mouth-melting dish. It is a seasonal speciality dish made of corn, chopped and cooked with milk, coconut and spices until it attains a moist, smooth texture.

Malpua:

Malpua is a tin pancake. These thin pancakes are made up of flour, khoya (solid milk) and semolina are deep-fried and dipped in sugar syrup, and are often served with rabdi to make it a delicious dish.

Khopra Patties:

Sarafa Bazaar is well known for its decades-old stalls serving delicious chaat. Here you got 10 different flavours of pani-puri like jeera, hajmola, sada, lahsun and more. You must have to try it.

Dal-Bafla:

Dal-Bafla and Churma is a Rajasthani Cuisine. Bafla is an oven-baked ball made with wheat and semolina, which is dipped in ghee before being served with dal, churma, coriander-mint chutney and mango pickle. Taste the dal bafla at Rajhans hotel.

It’s a good thought that you know the time of the place before a visit to that place. And Sarafa, Jewellery market converts at 8 PM into Sarafa Food Court and opens all the days of the week. And Sarafa Food Court closes at 2 AM.

How to reach

To reach Sarafa Bazaar doesn’t have any issue because this place was at an excellent location in the city. Sarafa Bazaar is just 2 km from the railway station, 4 km from bus stand and 6 km from the airport. You can reach this place easily via cabs, auto-rickshaws, personal vehicles and also with the city bus.

Sarafa Bazaar doesn’t have a good arrangement of 4 wheeler parking because Sarafa Bazaar has a very narrow street. You have to park your vehicles far away from this market.
