Indore “Zoo” is also known as Kamla Nehru Praani Sangraahalaya. It is a “Zoological” garden in Indore. It is located in Navlakha, Indore. This zoo was established in Navlakha Indore in year 1974.

This zoo is a largest zoo and also oldest zoo of Madhay Pradesh. It is spread over on 51 Acres of land. This zoo is one of the recognized zoo out of total 180 recognized zoos in India.

History About “Indore Zoo”

Kamla Nehru Prani Sangrahlaya is one of the recognized zoo under Central Zoo Authority. It is a “Zoological” garden in Indore. This zoo spread over the 51 Acres of land at Navlakha, Indore.

Indore zoo was established in 1974 at navlakha area in only 17 acres of land. Later on in the year 1999 adjoining 32 acres land of Quadibag was acquired by the zoo. Present area of indore zoo is 51.975 acres.

Indore Zoo is known as “Chidiya Ghar”. This zoo is also a center for reproduction, protection and exhibition of animals, plants and their habitats. This zoo has different varieties of animals and birds which have been brought from the different-different part of the world.

The total area of the Indore Zoo is full of the greenery where different variety of plants and trees which gives the natural feeling of forest environment to the the animals.

The Indore Zoo is an ex-situ conservation and breeding center that strives to emerge as a conservation, research and education facility dedicated to the enthusiasm of all wildlife. Indore zoo is also a center for reproduction, protection and exhibition of animals, plants and their habitats.

Best Time To Vist Indore Zoo

Indore Zoo opens 6 days in a week from Tuesday to Sunday. On Monday Indore zoo is closed. And the timing of Indore zoo opens 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. And the time required to visit complete zoo is minimum 2hrs. So you can visit this place at anyb time when it opens. You must have to visit this Zoo to get the knowledge about the wildlife.

Charges at Indore Zoo

The entry of Indore Zoo is not free you have to pay charges to visit this place. You have to pay ₹10 for per persons to visit this place. If you have to carry camera for clicking the picture so you have pay ₹ 30.00 per equipment and ₹ 50.00 per equipment for video camera.

Indore Zoo is at a very Prime location you can get esialy transport to reach this place.
